Keith Scherzinger, PE

Keith is the owner and an instructor for The Home Inspection Institute LLC dba the National Institute of Building Inspectors.  Keith is professional engineer in NJ, PA and CT and a N.J. state licensed home inspector. Keith also has the following credentials: NJ pest/WDI commercial applicator category 7B, NJ Radon Measurement Technician, NJ UST (underground storage/oil tank) inspector, NJ building inspector-RCS, and NJ subsurface evaluation license.

In addition to the education required for all the licensing he holds, Keith holds the following educational degrees:

    * Bachelor of Science - Civil Engineering, University of Hartford
    * Master of Engineering - Civil Engineering, University of Hartford
    * Master of Science - Information Science, University of Pittsburgh
Keith's other qualifications and affiliations include: Project Management Institute Professional designation, Elected member of Sigma Xi - the Scientific Research Society,
ASHI Certified Inspector and InterNACHI Certified Inspector.

Drew Levy

Drew is Co-Director and an instructor at the NIBI. He previously served as the Director for the Home Inspection Institute.  Drew is a N.J state licensed home inspector, Certified Mold Tester, Pool Inspector, Wood Destroying Insect Inspector and Radon Measurement Technician. Drew is a member of International Association of Certified Home Inspectors (InterNACHI), International Association of Certified Indoor Air Consultants (IAC2) and the National Association of Commercial Building Inspectors (NACBI). As Co-Director Drew handles all of the day to day activities, admissions, and scheduling, and is involved in course and program development.

Prior to his involvement in the home inspection field, Drew practiced for many years as a union carpenter and worked as a residential building contractor, bringing a vast array of construction experience to the home inspection education field.

Joseph Cummins

Joe is Co-Director and an instructor for NIBI classroom and online courses. In addition to serving as an administrator and instructor for NIBI since 1987, Joe's has been instrumental in the development and implementation of numerous technical training programs and inspection support materials. He is also the author of the NIBI Online Learning Program and numerous technical publications. Joe is a N.J state licensed home inspector and a long-time member of the American Society of Home Inspectors.

Joe is a graduate of the New Jersey Institute of Technology. He began performing home inspections over thirty years ago and has evaluated thousands of houses, multiple dwellings and commercial properties. As Director of Technical Services for an international franchise system, he has extensive experience in inspector training, risk management, reporting program development and technical support. He was also instrumental in developing a commercial/multiple dwelling inspection program, a nationwide relocation inspection services program and other special services for the home inspection industry.

John Hendricks

John is licensed by the state of N.J. as a home inspector and is currently owner of an environmental and building inspection service. He has provided instructions in all facets of home inspection for NIBI for over 15 years.

John is certified/licensed by the NJDEP as a Radon Mitigation Specialist, Radon Measurement Specialist, Commercial Certified, Pesticide Applicator, and Lead Inspector/Risk Assessor.  John also managed all facets of inspector quality control and federal/state licensing monitoring for one of the largest home inspection firms in New Jersey. During that time John also performed thousands of home inspections on residential and light commercial buildings.

John is a graduate of Trenton State College earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Arts Education with a major in Power Mechanics and a minor in Electronics. John also earned a second Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering.

William R. Wallerius 

Bill is a licensed home inspector in the State of New Jersey, a licensed Radon Measurement Technician and a licensed Lead Paint Inspector/Risk Assessor.  Bill has worked as a home inspector since 1983 and has performed over 8000 inspections of residential and light commercial properties.  He has been involved with NIBI classroom as well as on-site training instruction for home inspectors for many years.

Prior to entering the home inspection field, Bill was an independent contractor specializing in the design and installation of media and conferencing systems. He attended the RCA Institute in New York City where he studied electronics technology. Bill currently provided consulting and instructional services for NIBI and the NIBI Online program.

Kyle Schippers

Kyle is a N.J. state licensed home inspector, radon measurement technician, and the owner of a home inspection company in Mount Laurel, NJ.  As a firefighter/EMT, Kyle’s inspection experience started in 1998 when he became a licensed fire inspector enforcing fire and safety codes in commercial occupancies. Inspecting these properties in his jurisdiction inspired Kyle to become a home inspector in order to promote fire safety education to his clients. He uses his fire service experiences in building construction, fire behavior and prevention in the class (where appropriate) to take the student’s education to a different level.

Joe Coyle

Joe is a NJ state licensed home inspector and the owner of a home inspection company  in Pennsauken, NJ. He is also has NJ pest/WDI commercial applicator category 7B certification.  Joe has been in the construction industry for over 20 years, specializing in the electrical trade in both commercial and residential settings ranging from new construction to old house troubleshooting and retrofits. He has also worked as a contractor in home repair and remodeling. His years of experience and troubleshooting skills fit well in the home inspection field. Joe is member of Inter NACHI.
